Together, we can change the lives of sex trafficking survivors!
At Terebinth Refuge, our mission is to express the love of Christ by bringing hope, healing services, and freedom to sexually exploited and trafficked women as they transition into a life of health, stability, and independence for themselves and their children.
Because of you, we are able to create a place of refuge and resilient hope for residents in our Transitional Housing Program. This program serves up to 10 adult women, including mothers with children.
NEW! In response to the increased demand for services and programming in the Central Minnesota Region, Terebinth Refuge expanded its Community Advocacy Program to serve even more survivors. This program ensures that trauma-informed supportive services, food shelf, clothing boutique, life skills and job training is available to all victims and survivors who walk through our doors.
Ways to Support:
Financial support from individuals, businesses, churches, and foundations helps Terebinth Refuge support survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation in Central Minnesota and across the state.
- One-time Donation - Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of the women we serve.
- Monthly Giving - Monthly giving provides reliable, sustainable support that allows Terebinth to respond to survivors' evolving needs, make trauma-informed services and programming accessible to even more women, and invest in long-term care for survivors throughout their lifelong journey to healing and freedom.
- Qualified Charitable Distributions - Allows individuals age 70½ and older to donate up to $111,000 annually directly from their IRA to a qualified charity. This direct transfer is not included in your taxable income and counts toward satisfying your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
- Host a Fundraising Event - Host your own fundraising event to support Terebinth Refuge (car wash, bingo night, auction, etc.). Terebinth Refuge will provide a social media kit and informational materials to help with promotion.
- Give In-Kind - Your in-kind gifts provide basic necessities to victims and survivors (gift cards, gas cards, pantry items, hygiene supplies, clothing, etc.). Call our administrative line for a list of current needs (320-828-7721).
- Give Time - Volunteers help Terebinth Refuge serve even more survivors! Your time and skills can ensure that services and programming at the Program House are available to all who need it, that residential homes are place of safety, refuge, and peace for all residents, and that our operations run smoothly and sustainably.
- Church Support - We are called to loved the least of these. Terebinth Refuge Church Partners provide essential prayer, volunteer, and financial support. Learn more about becoming a Terebinth Refuge "Church of the Month."
- Corporate Giving - Giving back to the community enhances a business's reputation, fosters customer loyalty, and creates a positive impact that can lead to long-term success and growth. Connect with us about corporate sponsorships and other ways to give.
- Legacy Planning - A Legacy Gift ensures that your compassion for survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking continues to make an impact—now and for generations to come.
- Invite Us - An informed community can deter traffickers, support survivors, and advocate for stronger laws and resources. Terebinth Refuge speakers are available to present to your church, community, organization, or place of employment.
Thank you for your generous gift!
“I came to Terebinth Refuge from a place of dark despair and loneliness. I had been sold for sex most of my life. Now, I am loved and supported- and never judged. For the first time ever, I feel hopeful about my future.”— SURVIVOR ADVOCATE
